TF Thomas

Subject: Does Quebec's Bill 62 perhaps contain a wise principle?

I agree with Zeb Landon on the wearing of niqabs and burkas in public [what women wear in private is their own business]. If I have been instructed correctly the wearing of these two articles of clothing are not required by their religion and are worn for personal reasons and are accepted in public as customs in certain areas of the Middle East. Canadians tend to view both as unnatural to our traditional open friendliness and respect. I think Canadians have done very well in accepting a multitude of religions and will continue to do so in future.
