Tesla is investing for the future
Re: Tesla burns through US$8,000 a minute, Nov. 22.

The essence of capitalism is risk-taking. When an entrepreneur is putting a new product in the market, he essentially taking a risk, hoping the investment would be profitable in the future. Similarly, Elon Musk, maker of  all-electric Tesla 3, is investing in electric car production hoping that it would be profitable in the foreseeable future.

And he is right to take the risk. Electric cars are the wave of the future for three obvious reasons. First, is the concern about pollution caused by gasoline-powered cars. Second,  is the revolution in  solar and wind power generation and battery storage of electricity when sun is not shining and wind is not blowing. And third, affordable electric cars like Tesla 3 and others will become profitable as more buyers are attracted to non-polluting electric cars. Not surprisingly, Elon Musk is also CEO of SolarCity, the biggest maker of solar panels in the United States.

Tesla 3 is likely to become most sought after in few years time and Mr. Musk will be the most successful investor of our time.
